Which is worse for hair: Straightening with a flat iron every day, or having it chemically straighte

i'm just wondering.

i have naturally curly/wavy hair and i straighten it every other day but i'm scared i'm damaging it too much!

i'm also trying to find ways to leave it wavy but still keep it pretty and looking nice.

thanks!

if u have a good flat iron, then its better to do it daily. if not then chemically straightening at a good salon is better. if you go chemically, ask your stylist how to care for your hair

i go for professional hair slaon to do the strighten treatment, since everyday stright can cause too much time, and i don't like to spend too much chemical product daily.

Putting the flat iron through your hair daily breaks your hair off. If you go for chemical straightening it lasts until you get roots then you have to straighten the roots. There are pros and cons to both sides of it.

If you want the straight sleek look you will have to run the iron through anyway even after its chemically straightened.

Its great for people with spiral curls that want to get rid of them but if you have some waves just make sure you are using some type of conditioner on your hair.

I have frizzy, curly hair and often use straighteners. I have also used a mild perming solution every now and then for years. Instead of putting curlers in, comb it straight. I find this less damaging than using hot straighteners. Be careful to follow any instructions though as perming can damage your hair too. I've noticed that Boots now sell a straightening kit but I haven't tried it.

You can also try wrapping your hair up to get a super finish. What you do is: wash hair and when wet secure a large roller at the top of your head then comb wrap your hair as straight as poss around the roller (like a walnut whip). Fix with a net and dry with a hand dryer, sit-under dryer, or leave to dry naturally (could take some time to dry naturally). Let hair drop down and finish by blow dry tweaking to style as you want.

both are equally bad for your hair. but if you really want straight hair , i advise your to have it chemically straightened. rather than you burn your hair everyday. wasting time and energy. just get it chemically straighten.straight hair make your face look flat. just go with your wavy hair. you can get different style everyday. if you straighten them... its so boring with straight hair everyday.

heat the frequently is not good at all. if you were using heat 1-2X/ week that's different but heat every single day, you might be better off with a relaxer and maintaining it well. if you were to do heat 1-2X per week just wrap your hair it sould not mess up. You should try more updoes and braids like one big french braid, or buns, many styles you could do but that hear is not good
