I suggust the CHI flat iron. Not the FHI, RHI, PHI or whoever is making the newest knock-off. The original one, not the one with the temperature control. As long as you get the procedure down with how small to section your hair and how slow or fast to glide it down, you will love it! Make sure to get a good moisturinzing shampoo and conditioner and a good heat protecting styling product to put on before you dry your hair. It should last several days when you straighten it. I have a few african american clients that didn't believe I could straighten their hair and now they come in once a week.

get a remington teflon technology one..i got it for 34 dollars....and it works VERY well..its both ceramic and teflon created..its really nice to ur hair and it gives a beuatiful shine to it as well as str8 hair for about 5 days!.....my ahir is black, curly, thick, frizzy, and everything u can think of if i dont take care of it...and it worked amazingly on mine so it most def will work on urs..just set it to 140 and ull be good...cuz it has a 10-200 heat setting...and 140 is the best for thick hair and if it doesnt..increase it to 150 and so on...

if you know anyone that works in a salon have them go to the supply house and get you agold and hot flat iron i have bought every kind possible in the store and they all were a waste of money, this one works and I put it on the highest setting, but run it through my hair quickly so it doesn't fry it.. IT cost about 60.00
