If you straighten it with a perm solution, it will stay straight until it grows back out.

If your hair is naturaly curly it shouldnt make a difference to your hair. However, if you have a perm it might straighten out your curls.

Well duh it makes it straight. But if you hair is naturally curly, you should be fine!!

Yes it will make it LESS curly, but not straight enough. However, if you have it straightened, it will look stiff and artificial. Its also temporary.

YES IT DOES

Depends what you mean by straightening and how curly your hair is. I have my hair chemically relaxed at the hair dresser about every 4-6 months. It does make it alot straighter but I have to blow-dry it still. My hair is super tight curly. You can have them use an anti-curl product that will lessen the curl if you just want it to be a little curly.

If you are speaking of straightening it with a hot iron; no, as long as you don't burn it, you should retain your curl.

If, however, you are speaking of using chemical straighteners, then the answer is yes, it would change it.

As an example: picture the inside of your hair as a chain. When your hair is in its original state, whether curly or straight; the links are whole.

When you apply a chemical such as a straightener or a perm, then in order for it to do its job, it must first "break" the links in the chain. Then, after the shape you are looking for is attained, the links reform themselves. They once again re-link, but the outside shape is either straight or curly, depending on what you were doing to it.

If done improperly however, the links are unable to re-bond, and the result is limp, dry, damaged hair that breaks off easily.

I hope this gives you the information you were looking for.

Good luck to you.
