Straightening hair and hair spray?

When I straighten my hair in tend to start to wave a bit during the day. My friend suggested using hair spray to hold my hair. I bought some from Garnier. It says on the directions to spray on slightly damp hair, then style, then spray on dry hair. But when I straighten my hair I let it air dry, I don't blow dry it. Would it be OK to just spray a little on damp hair or should I just spray it on dry hair?

i striaghten my hair everyday, so i know how it feels lol. if the bottle says to spray to damp hair, thats probaly cause the results come out best that way. and if you dont already, i would recommend not only blow dyring it but also striaghtening it too (which you probaly already do). another alternniive instead of hairspray would be striaghtening cream. l'oreal paris makes some good product. heop i helped! =]

if you put it on when damp it will ensure you don't go frizzy so i'd put bit on then and a bit on when you have styled it. or try using a product to protect your hair from the heat of the straighteners as that may be causing the wave. hope this helps. x

hmm, maybe you should get a diff. hair spary. you should get Dove hairspray, it smells good and doesn't leave flakes when you brush through it.

Hair spray makes your hair fells yucky. I use something called Straight Sexy Hair and they have a spray that works wonders. I know that if you spray that on and than use a flat iron, it will hold for days.

i bought the same product, it works okay. but i recommend white rain extra hold, so much better.

I also have curly hair. After im done straightening my hair I spray hair spray on it. If you wet your hair it will begin to curl again. Hair spray works fine on dry hair. And it really does help to keep it straight! :)
