Permenantly Straightening Hair?

I posted another question about chemically straightening my hair, but I decided that maybe I should look at all the ways out there on doing it. I've tried just about everything you can imagine: products, straighteners, extensions (I wore pin straight extensions for three months, so I know pin straight is exactly what I want).

A lot of people said they go and get their hair permemently straightened with curly hair, and come out with still curls. However, I don't have curls.

As best as I can describe it: My hair is thick. It isn't frizzy, and if I air dry it, it's just wavy and somewhat flat. My hair used to be really curly, but that phase grew out. I'm looking to get it pin straight. It is also colored.

So considering my hair type, I'm looking for a permenate straightening technique that will make it come out pin straight, is able to go out in humidity and rain, and still able to be colored.

What are my options and what are the costs? Thanks so much!

Permenantly Straightening Hair?

You can get your hair permanately straightened, but it costs about $500. I'm not sure exactly what is involved but i know a couple people that had it done. Oprah did a show on it like a year or two ago. I'm sure you could find info on it if you went to her website and look in the archive files. Or look it up on- line. Some salons can even refer you to a salon that does do it. Good Luck!

Permenantly Straightening Hair?

I got my hair straight last year with YUKO SYSTEM which is the first and best in my opinion. I got the treatment in Spain where I live but u can check out appointed hairdresser all over the world on the web. Approx price here is 700 euros for long hair. hope it helps
