In my opinion yes, i have been straightening my hair for a few years now and its not as shiny as it used to be before, but since i bought a new straightener the shine has started to come back so I think it all depends on the straightener you use...

Not the shine but its smoothness looses and that too not gradually but very rapidly....

cant say it does for everyone, but it did for me. thats why i gave up doing it. its really very drying for your hair cos of all the chemicals. i wouldnt advise anyone to start doing it cos its quite hard to continue maintaining it afterwards

hi, from wat iv noticed from my neumerous friends who went for hair staightnin, yeah it do spoil the texture of hair, but rarely i'v seen hair turnin better also after straightnin n many cases, depends on the strength and texture of ur hair, my personal hair stylists s strictly , against me straightnin hair, coz n her opinion its bad

But recently wen i visited loreal salon, i happened to see somethin n hair color section called CLEAR which s like an extra coat for hair for shine, for eg: u can compare t with that transparent coat which v put over nail after puttin nailpolish for shine

yes that's true. even i used to be very fond of hair straightening. it looks nice at first but in the long run hair loose their shine. they also start breaking and believe me split ends can really be a nightmare!!! whats more all the hair proteins are burnt
