I used to just straighten my hair without anything, and I had major hair damage. Since I got my hair cut, all those are gone.

But I need to start straightening my hair again since my perm wore off.

i use tressemme heat protectant spray and it works really well, and its only about $4 for a bottle and it lasts a while. if you dont like sprays you could use loriel heat protectent cream, and it helps to straighten your hair too. i think its about the same as the spray. i hope that helpes

I use J Beverly Hills Crazy straight (get at a salon) on wet hair, then I blow dry my hair, straighten it, then I use Bumble and Bumble hair serum afterwards.

theres this spray its called aquage beyond shine and says on the top imrpoves flat iron performance.its a heat protector and u spray it on each part of your hair before you run the flat iron through it. its good because it doesnt make ur hair all sticky and make it look greasy and gross afterwards, and it protects it from the heat. its a little bit expensive i got it for $17 but its worth it because it does a good job and its better than anything else ive used. u can find it at ulta or a local salon.

what kind of straightener do u have? cuz you should probably get something that is the same brand as your straightener it will work best. I have a chi so i use chi brand heat protection. IT is also a good idea to use heat protection when you blow dry.
