my mom is a hairdresser. she had it done, and it is called a relaxer. it just makes your hair dead straight. you hair is never the same again and i would not recommend it. people think it makes your hair straight, soft, and silky. it actually makes your hair kind of hard. it is really not worth it, and it cost to much money any way. it is not even bouncy, just dead straight, a bit ugly. it actually kills your hair, and can cause it to fall out. just straighten your hair every now and then with a good straightener. while using a pressing cream, to protect hair from heat. instead of messing up your hair forever.

I have naturally curly hair and I have had permanent straightening in the past but I wouldn't do it again. It depends on how straight you want your hair ...... they basically make it poker straight, which makes it quite flat all over! If you are happy with that then go for it! This would then make it worth the money,

I prefer to have a bit of movement in my hair and prefer to use my straighteners as I can choose how straight I want my hair to be. My choice would be to spend the money on a good set of straighteners.

dont go get it proffessionaly done. i did my own at home one for 8 bucks from walmart and it worked amazing. my hair is super curly so it didnt straighten it completely so i did it twice more with a 3month period in between. id dont recommend doin that tho cuz it damaged my ahir cuz ur not supposed to do it more than twice i think. but its worth the money at home not in a salon. plus its never permanent. its just until ur hair grows out again so its really not worth spending all that money on.

i've had one once just to see how it would take and trust me never again all the condition went out of my hair

Yes - don't do it - its so damaging and after a while you miss the curls and they don't really come back well after that!
