Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

My hair is wavy, not curly, and I have to spend an hour every morning straightening it for school. I have Ghd's, and have tried straightening it the night before, but in the morning it is wavy again. I love my sleep so if anyone knows a way of getting my straight without spending so much time in the morning straightening it, please let me know!

Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

You could try blow drying it straight. I wouldn't use a relaxer. They damage your hair really bad. Maybe you should get a new straightener. I have wavy hair, but I also have a straightener that heats up to 450. My hair is just below my shoulders and it takes me five minutes to straighten my hair.

Try getting your hair relaxed by the hairdresser. Hope it works.

Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

Use a round big brush and blow dry it straight!

Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

Yerr, You Can Have A Straight Perm.

If You Go To Your Hairdressers, They Will Tell You About It.

It Lasts For Ages %26amp;%26amp; Isn't That Expensive Either.

Or Use Straightening Shampoo %26amp;%26amp; Conditioner, Blowdry At Night, Then Straighten It %26amp;%26amp; Put Loadsa Hairspray On, Then Put Some Tights Over Your Head When Go To Bed Keeps Hair Straight But Doesn't Put Any Kinks In It!

Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

My friend Bianca does straight styling every morning at home for 10 minutes on her hair.

She use's the ceramic plate straightener.

Gives that efficient straight sleek salon style look and saving on her budget.

Bianca says the ceramic plate straightener is a salon styling tool and if you shop around, you could purchase the straight styler at a very

reasonable price.

She also says very important in treating hair otherwise gets that drying and dull look.Bianca uses hot-oil treatment.Comes in tube and the treatment is massaged into the hair and scalp.

Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

i feel you here, so i have the answer:

short anwer: run, don't walk to any salon or supply store that carries MIXED CHICKS products.

long answer: maybe you should try working with your curls rather than "killing them". here is how you can do it...

shampoo, deep condition, then end the routine with MIXED CHICKS leave-in on wet hair and air dry with not towel or blowdry. just wash and go and your hair...if you let it dry without messing with it, will come out frizz free. but you HAVE TO LET IT DRY WITHOUT messing with it. then, on day two, apply the leave-in as a recharge with water and go. don't shampoo more than twice a week.

you can get the stuff (MIXED CHICKS) at www.mixedchicks.net and you can get it in the U.K. (http://www.mixedchicks.co.uk).

in case you can't tell, I love the stuff

Does anyone know how to get straight hair without actually straightening it?????

u could blow dry it, which i do by applying straightening serum then using a round brush and concentrator on the hair dryer, i dry my hair. if u do that definitely use a small amount of straightening serum after to stop frizz.

u could, if that doesnt work, get it chemically straightened. my hairdresser said i could but it is a last resort, very expensive and doesnt work well on wavy hair.

Don't relax your hair!!!

Can i straighten my damaged hair?

i permed and colored my hair a few days ago.now my hair is totally damaged.and to worsen the condition my hair color is not what i actually want it to be.my hair used to be healthy and now i regret what i've done.i was thinking of cutting my hair short and straighten it.is it a wise thing to do?or will the chemicals further damage my hair? please help.thank you.

Can i straighten my damaged hair?

I had the same problem honey, do not try to straighter your hair.. Go out and buy Aphogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair, also the Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor, and some Aphogee Leave In Conditioner.. Shampoo hair first, 2 times, rinse, apply the 2 Minute Reconstructor, put on a plastic cap and let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse and then spray in some leave in Conditioner.. Do this for a month and your should be back to it's normal stage, probably even better.. Hope this helps!

Can i straighten my damaged hair?

ohh jeeze..what ever you do do nooot i repeat do not staigten your hair this will just make it fall out and feel even more like hay ..not very pretty..

what you should do is deeply condition and let it air dry for a while then when it start getting healthier u can straigten it but only once a week.

some good products are biolage and bumble and bumble

hope i can help

Can i straighten my damaged hair?

Do not; I repeat, do not try to straighten your damaged hair! Cut it short and let it grow out before you put any more chemicals in it. The chemical used to straighten hair is very harsh. If you attempt to straighten, after you've permed and colored, you very well might wind up with having your hair fall out in the sink when you wash out the straightening chemical. If you attempt to straighten your hair after all you've already done to it you WILL be very sorry.

Can i straighten my damaged hair?

How to stop hair fall due to straightening hair?

i'm a 17 years old girl.my hair keep falling a lot for a year time.the main cause is i straighten my hair last year and it damage my hair scalp.the chemical used doesnt suits my scalp.besides that i start to suffer dandruff hair too.i eventually went to a hair care center and spent few thousands there but once i stop the treatment my dandruff comes back again and it make no differences like before this.my parents couldn't afford my expensive treatments any more so i must find the solution myself.hope you all can help.thank Q.

How to stop hair fall due to straightening hair?

See a doctor first. You may have a condition that causes your hair to fall out. If there's no solution there, use Nioxin hair products. They're made to help hair that's thinning out.

How to stop hair fall due to straightening hair?

is your hair naturally curly?

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

Doesn't it get burned? What's better, getting permanently straightened at a salon or just buying a flat iron? What's the best kind of iron or whatever that straightens hair? What products are used to prevent your hair from getting burned? What is the daily routine, do you even straighten everyday?

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

i think its better to get your hair permenently straightened at a salon, that way you dont have to waste time straightening it.

if you do want to straigten your hair, i think the CHI is the best iron i've ever used, and i used to have course thick curly hair, but the CHI made it nice and smooth. but then i went to the salon and got a cheaper version of japanese straightening done so now i dont have to flat iron my hair so much :)

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

CHI Flat irons are the best and you won't have to straighten everyday!

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

chemical straightening doesn't last

xx

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

i think its better to get it permanently straight than iron your hair everyday coz its not good for your hair....i don't straighten my hair everyday coz my hair naturally straight...

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

If it only takes you like 5-10 mins to straighten your hair its fine...thats how long it takes me...but if it takes you a hour just to get your hair straight ya its probably going to cause some damage...you could just not wash it everyday and straighten it 2-3 times a week...or something.

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

GO NATURAL LET YOUR HAIR SHINE FOR WHO YOU REALLY ARE....HEHEHE(CUTE)

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

yeah it gets burn your better off getting a perm its less damage to your hair...........and there are many products for that purpose just ask some one in tha store they show u .........but a perm is way better!!!!!!!!!!

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

UHHH DUH!!!! yes that's bad it very bad

best kind of iron

the sedu and or the FHI and a heat protecting spray is

tresemme heat tamer

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

No it's not. It is nice to wear your hair straight everyday. I used to do it all the time and now i have a lot of hair breakage and it is dry and ugly. There are creams that you can put on your hair to prevent it from all the damage but sometimes they are a bit too expensive but it is worth it. The best iron to use would be a ceramic one. The products you can use that i have used are Thermasilk products. I am not sure if they are still out in the market but they are really good for heat.

Is it worth it straightening hair everyday?

Well, i would say getting it permanently straightened, if you do not colour it. Straightening it everyday is such a hassle.

Where can I find a salon in Pittsburgh, pa that does Brazilian hair straightening?

Hey, definitely go to Capristo Salon in Shadyside and mention Google when you book an appointment. You'll save $50 off their regular price of $300.

Where can I find a salon in Pittsburgh, pa that does Brazilian hair straightening?

Capristo (on Ellsworth St.) in Shadyside is also the only one I know of who is actually licensed to do Brazilian hair straightening. From what I heard, this is hard to find in the Pgh. area, but the results are supposed to be well worth it. Just make sure they use a formaldehyde-free formula. It is supposed to be the best.

To Christopher M.: Thanks for the $50-off tip! I called to confirm, and they are still honoring it.

How can I stop my hair from going so flat?

I normally shower and straighten my hair at night, because I have to share the bathroom with my brother and so I just don't have the time in there (it takes me about half an hour or twenty minutes to straighten my hair) to straighten my hair in the morning. When I finish straightening my hair at night it looks realy good - but the next morning, my hair is still straight but flat. Not that my hair wasn't flat the night before but then it has JUST the right amount of body and volume, but when I wake up any of that is gone. How can I keep this from happening?

How can I stop my hair from going so flat?

You can use sunsilk's antiflat hair shampoo and conditioner or you could use bedhead's texturizing cream in the morning to keep it from going flat. Hope I helped!

~Rachel

How can I stop my hair from going so flat?

use a better shampoo and cond.

How can I stop my hair from going so flat?

I suggest that you don't straightened your hair that much. I have the same problem as you and figured to wash my hair with volume shampoos like Pantene and don't use other products on your hair. Make sure your hair is washed when dirty.

How can I stop my hair from going so flat?

Straightening hair makes it look flat. Try sunsilk hairapy ati flat. That's what I use and I love it much. You can also use this hair spray that is for volume and is called big and sexy and comes in a red can. That stuff is great as well. It is kinda expensive though.

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

I've heard from others that chemically straightening doesn't work too well. But I don't have curly hair. Just pretty wavy. Will it work properly?

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

I am a licenced Cosmetologist and I am iffy about Chemical Straighteners. I've done several of these services. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. It really just depends on your hair and how it takes to it. Most of the time, if the hair is just wavy, it works just fine. But after time the wave will eventually start to come back. Plus, when your hair grows back, your new growth will be wavy.

Most of the girls I do straighten still have to style their hair.... they can't just air dry.. They need to blow dry and flat iron to keep it smooth looking.

If you really want it done, it should help... but make sure you don't do it yourself. Chemical Straightners have a very high PH and can FRY your hair if they aren't used properly! DON'T TRY TO DO THIS YOURSELF! PLEASE! Have your stylist do it... she can get the product on faster and more evenly and can monitor it's process better than you could to yourself! Your results will be better!

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

It didn't work for me. It took some of the waves out, but I still have to spend the same amount of time straightening the waves that were left.

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

Don't do it! Wavy hair is so...hunky!

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

It depends on how long your stylist keeps the chemical on before washing it off. Let your stylist know that you want your wavy hair to be completly straight so he/she knows how long to keep it on. However, a lot of people who chemically straighten their hair still use a flat iron or blow dryer to get it completly straight.

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

Yes but you still need to style it. Try getting a relaxant - it is not so bad for your hair and practically the same.

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

a friend of mine did that and it didnt work completely. She still had to sit there and straighten some of it out.

I have wavy hair. Will chemically straightening it make it completely straight?

No. I have pretty curly hair, and I got it chemically straightened... I still had to blow-dry my hair every morning to get it REALLY straight.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

I got my hair cut about a year ago, and my hair used to be down to the middle of my back i got it cut up to my shoulders and its only grown like and inch since then and i really want my long hair back but i straighten my hair every day (i was born with really curly hair) does straightening it fry my hair? does it break my hair which is keeping it from growing? do u think i should give my hair a break so then it will grow or is straightening it not the problem?

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

Want to make your hair grow quicker, this might sound a little weird. Go and buy a some mayonnaise or Ketchup squeeze it and pour its contents on your head. For several weeks, and watch it grow. Healthy Hair!!!!

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

No. Hair is already freaking dead.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

You may be frying it on the ends so u get split ends so looks shorter...but your hair grows from the top of your head not the ends...

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

except for that, straightening your hair can damage it and make you have split ends, stop straightening your hair...if yu want to then u should do the permanent straightening

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

what does help it grow faster if you pull it back in a tight pony tail (maybe when u go to bed) It helps pull and grow a little bit faster.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

you're damaging your hair..try to use alot of conditoner and don't blow dry it all the time or straighten cus it makes it all dry. and i know if you always keep your hair tied, it grows faster.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

It would definately grow healthier. You should style it with a blow dryer to keep it from breaking, as with a straightener. If you have really curly hair, use what God gave you and accentuate it! Put a product in it if it has frizz and maybe your curls will come out really cute! Who knows? Try many different things and avoid using too much heat. Good luck!

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

Straightening fries your hair... breaks your hair which is keeping it from growing.? You should give your hair a break.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

Yes , I am only a 10 year old and I straighten and relax my hair when I stopped my hair grew down to my but!

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

Your diet.

Eat healthy, be healthy- your hair will get the extra vitamins to support it's growth.

You can't make your hair grow faster- but you can prevent things from slowing down the speed of your hairgrowth. :]

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

You should stop straightening your hair right away. GIve it a break! Use a good conditioner. and I agree with some of the others. TIe it in a pony tail especially before you go to bed.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

Straigntening can damage the hair then the ends split. I was having that happen because I did not cut it for a long time. When I started getting trims every 2-3 months and just having them cut off the damaged part then it started growing better.

Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

It won't break off as much and you can achieve longer lengths. I don't use any heat on my hair at all, not even from a blowdryer, I barely get any breakage at all.

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

I'm a white female and when I hit puberty, my pretty lose curly hair turned into a monster. It turned curly in a different way. It was super curly and it was an afro- worse than an afro. It looked horrible and my mother would't let me leave the house without going to a professional and straightening it. I've gone to a professional once a week- had them wash and straighten it. I don't wash it only once a week when I'm at a salon. I simply cannot wear it curly. I tried once and got some horrible comments about it- which made me extremely depressed. When I look in the mirror and see my hair not straightened and a big poof ball- it's not me. Going to the salon once a week is getting to be too much and my hair has made me think some really dark thoughts about life. I must always carry a jacket with me- even in the summer because if my hair gets wet- It gets extremely frizzy and dry. But, when my hair is straight and non frizzy- it is smooth and silky. How can I wear my hair natural?

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

Yes.

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

Try a relaxer. Grow your hair longer, the shorter it is, the kinkier it'll be. Use extra conditioner, a leave in conditioner, mousse and styling gel. Blow dry your hair on cool.

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

Have you tried de=frizzing products. Have you tried a really good stylist to cut it to go with the curls? I would love some curls. Too bad we can't share my stick straight do nothing hair with yours.

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

you can just permanently straiten it once and you wont have to do it again.

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

You can get it permanently relaxed. I think you will be much happier. It's like the reverse of the perm. Of course as the roots come in you'll have to get it touched up, but that's the same hassle as people who dye their hair... once a month or a little less beats once a week, right?

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

Don't feel bad. It is the hair you were given, and I'm sure there are many ways out there that can help make it more manageable. There are a lot of products that defrizz. You can find a lot at the typical grocery store, but you should also check out beauty stores. Ex: Sally beauty stores, Ulta stores. They have tons of hair products. Also, check out ceramic irons. Some of those are inexpensive but go a long way.

I checked out some web sites online that you could possibly utilize for advice on what to use and what not to use.

Is my hair that bad that it can't be fixed?

I had this issue too. It can be very consuming. That's all I thought about. I decided when I was 14 that I wasn't going to deal with my hair anymore, so I had it cut short in a pixie style. My mom was against it since most young girls don't have short hair and i 'd stand out. But you know what? I already felt self concious , you know? And I looked and felt great. I could wear my hair curly without it being puffy. The key is getting hair texturized and thinned. Thick haired girls should ALWAYS have layers to avoid the rectangle look and it has to be thinned.

Now I have a bob cut and straighten it myself with a T3 flat iron.

So, I have worn it curly and short and medium and straight.

There is hope for you, take people's opinions with a grain of salt and do what makes you happy...IT REALLY IS A PERSONAL DECISION WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR HAIR!

lots of luck;)

About Straightening hair?

About Straightening hair?

About Straightening hair?

while your hairs still wet use a straightening serum ( i use pual mitchell super skinny)...then before you straighten it when its dry use CHI silk infusion (if protects your hair from damage, adds shine, and it makes it less poufy)

About Straightening hair?

I know what you mean. I have naturally curly hair like really really curly hair and sometimes when I straighten it, it gets course and kind of poofy. i just started using this stuff its kind of like the product bed head and its called crazy sleek. it comes in like a orange spray bottle and it really makes my hair smooth and nice

About Straightening hair?

this used to happen to me. try taking longer to straighten it, that helped for me. when you are pulling the straightener down the hair, do it slower. thats what stopped mine doing that. now i have a better hair straightener, if that doesnt help get a new straightener. i would recommend a GHD straightener, i have that one now. it keeps your hair shiny and smooth. good luck

About Straightening hair?

I'm hispanic and have curly thick hair. After using SO many products I found oil sheen and a flat iron called Gold N' Hot works miracles. Everyone thinks my hair is naturally straight. I towel dry my hair, spray oil sheen, let it dry naturally, then use the flat iron in sections. The end result is beautiful. African american products are made to protect hair with substantial use of heat. Just make sure to use it (the oil sheen) sparingly if you have oily hair.

I used to have straight hair when I was younger...I want that kind of straightness again =) I don't think I'm going to resort to ironing my hair anything like that....I'm looking for a simple but effective means such as using a certain type of shampoo/conditioner that will straighten my hair ^_^.

Thanks, Van

I'm a 17-year-old male with wavy-ish/curly-ish hair. How can I straighten it? (i.e. shampoo, conditioner?)

No shampoos or conditioners will work for that. Go to a local salon and get it done. But they will very likely use a flat iron.

I'm a 17-year-old male with wavy-ish/curly-ish hair. How can I straighten it? (i.e. shampoo, conditioner?)

No combination of shampoo or conditioner will do it. Use products such as a relaxer.

I have the same problem and the only thing that works for me is a product from Aussie called 3 minute miracle. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't straighten your hair but it does make it easily manageable. My advice is try the stuff and blow dry it straight. If that doesn't work then try someeone elses suggestion.

Hi, does anyone know a salon where i can get permanent hair straightening (Yuko or other) in Spain?

You can NEVER straightnen hair permanently, you can never change what is natural, its best to leave ur hair natural, because all thse chemicals make ur hair damage and even fall out, there are long term effects of these, its all about making money, these companis produce all these hair products so they can make money but end of the day they all are temporary and damaging, curly wavy hair is good, shud be glad and proud of how u look, people pay loads of money to get Cruly hair, ooooooh,.lmao lol.

Hi, does anyone know a salon where i can get permanent hair straightening (Yuko or other) in Spain?

I've heard about this, Yuko, straightening. I don't know where you are in Spain but think they might do it in Puerto Banus, near Marbella, Southern Spain

Check this site out. I went on google and was trying to find out for you. I don't think it will be good for any type of hair. I wish you the best of luck.

The best place to go is Three-13 in Marietta, Georgia!!

Which is worse ? Chemically straightening hair or ironing hair every 2 to 3 days ??

I have Long natural curly hair and have had my hair chemically straightened twice, I love it. I know this is not the best for my hair but I like how straight it is when finished and it last me almost a year. Now that I can not find a place to chemically do my hair anymore, I have bought an iron and do it about twice a week. Dont' like this as much, have seen a lot more grey hairs.

Which is worse ? Chemically straightening hair or ironing hair every 2 to 3 days ??

i have had my chi flat iron for over 3 years. I have used it on my hair everyday.

it's very important to:

1) not wash your hair everyday; your hair needs it's natural oils

2) use hair products; like aveda damage control

3) use an extra moisturizing conditioner; like keretase

i think using a GOOD flat iron is better than having it chemically straightened.

Which is worse ? Chemically straightening hair or ironing hair every 2 to 3 days ??

Chemicals are bad for the hair but only if used too frequetly. Heat is bad too unless you are using ceramic hair tools :)

Which is worse ? Chemically straightening hair or ironing hair every 2 to 3 days ??

If you don't already, try using a heat/anti-frizz product. I've been using Redken Heat Glide for about 3 years now and I love it! If you have a quality iron that gets hot evenly and doesn't snag your hair, you should be fine straightening it a few times a week.

Which hair products are best for using on wet hair prior to straightening?

I use a professional iron to flat iron my hair.

I wash and condition it, and then let it air-dry, then I spray in some heat protector and then I use a flat iron.

My question is:

WHICH HAIR PRODUCTS should I put in my hair while it's wet before straightening it? (leave-in conditioner, serum, mousse, gel, what?)

Which hair products are best for using on wet hair prior to straightening?

Definitely use a spray-in conditioner, and serum.

Which hair products are best for using on wet hair prior to straightening?

Try a leave in conditioner, and use a serum when its dry.

Which hair products are best for using on wet hair prior to straightening?

i use chi silk infusion it makes my hair shiny and soft plus it smells really good

Which hair products are best for using on wet hair prior to straightening?

You definitly gotta use products by Aussie. They work miricles!!! Good Luck xoxo

Straightening hair problem?

after every time I straighten my hair

it always turns out to be really dry

and not shiny at all and tends to kinda stick out

i use a chi flat iron

and garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner

but I went to get a hair cut at a salon they only put in a shampoo and conditioner in my hair, blew dry it and then straitened it and it turned out like this

as you can see its really shiny and thick

but when i do it myself

it turns out like this

or.

http://i12.tinypic.com/35hp9id.jpg

we used the same straightener as me but some how made it look the way she did it?

any idea how to make it like that?

Straightening hair problem?

Oh I have had the same problem.

May i recommend some products? Use a straightning shampoo such as Sunsilk (the purple bottle) and then an Pantene Pro V makes AMAZING conditioners. The difference can be seen instantly.

And before you straighten your hair may i suggest using a heat protection thingy. Works wonders, and doesn't dry out your hair.

If not that you can always use an anti friz %26amp; shine serum. I use one from Pantene Pro V {yet again that company}

I hope that helps!

Straightening hair problem?

Try using Ojon Shampoo+Condtioner. Mair is always dry when I starghten it 2 but when I used this stuff, my hair looked GREAT! check it out!

--It might cost yah a bit thoo

Straightening hair problem?

hey, they all look good to me! I don't see the difference! :)

Straightening hair problem?

its all in the blow drying!! my hairs a real mess if i let it dry naturally and then straighten it but if it blow dry it i get volume and its nice and shiney :)

so try blow drying it straight and then straightening it aswell!

Straightening hair problem?

HMM I see the difference, well maybe u should ask them what shampoo and conditioner they used. Maybe this info might be of some use to you, I have noticed that when I straighten my hair soon after shampooing it, it looks shinier than when I straighten it after letting it air dry. I mean my hair doesn't look as dry as yours do in these pics but my hair is naturally straight, i just do it for frizz but see if this works for u. Maybe if you blow dry and straighten it right after getting out of the shower it might give u the wanted result, IF you are not already doing that, that is. Are you sure she didn't use anything else like shine serum or a volumiser or something? You should ask them what products they use.

Best of Luck!

How hott shuld a flat iron b 2 b able 2 straighten my hair???

I suggust the CHI flat iron. Not the FHI, RHI, PHI or whoever is making the newest knock-off. The original one, not the one with the temperature control. As long as you get the procedure down with how small to section your hair and how slow or fast to glide it down, you will love it! Make sure to get a good moisturinzing shampoo and conditioner and a good heat protecting styling product to put on before you dry your hair. It should last several days when you straighten it. I have a few african american clients that didn't believe I could straighten their hair and now they come in once a week.

Take care

IT cost about 60.00

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

i want to have my curly hair but i love having it straight too just wordering if straightening it changes it?

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

If you straighten it with a perm solution, it will stay straight until it grows back out.

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

If your hair is naturaly curly it shouldnt make a difference to your hair. However, if you have a perm it might straighten out your curls.

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

Well duh it makes it straight. But if you hair is naturally curly, you should be fine!!

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

Yes it will make it LESS curly, but not straight enough. However, if you have it straightened, it will look stiff and artificial. Its also temporary.

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

YES IT DOES

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

Depends what you mean by straightening and how curly your hair is. I have my hair chemically relaxed at the hair dresser about every 4-6 months. It does make it alot straighter but I have to blow-dry it still. My hair is super tight curly. You can have them use an anti-curl product that will lessen the curl if you just want it to be a little curly.

If you have curly hair does straightening it make it go less curly?

If you are speaking of straightening it with a hot iron; no, as long as you don't burn it, you should retain your curl.

If, however, you are speaking of using chemical straighteners, then the answer is yes, it would change it.

As an example: picture the inside of your hair as a chain. When your hair is in its original state, whether curly or straight; the links are whole.

When you apply a chemical such as a straightener or a perm, then in order for it to do its job, it must first "break" the links in the chain. Then, after the shape you are looking for is attained, the links reform themselves. They once again re-link, but the outside shape is either straight or curly, depending on what you were doing to it.

If done improperly however, the links are unable to re-bond, and the result is limp, dry, damaged hair that breaks off easily.

I hope this gives you the information you were looking for.

Good luck to you.

Straightening hair possible?

i have pretty curly hair. but, ive gotten it pretty thick and healthy.

for that reason, and the reason it just gets frizzy and nasty, i dont really straighten it with a ceramic straightener or blow dryer.

i really like//want straight hair though.

is there anything i can do that is safe for my hair but will get it straight?

and im not looking for a permanent straight...maybe just a way to relax it even just into waves for a couple days//weeks//whatev.

thanx.

Straightening hair possible?

Unless you use a flat iron it won't get straighten my dear. Invest in a Chi. It's totally worth it.

Straightening hair possible?

they have at home straighting systems at the super markets, but i think they dry out your hair, or you could go to a salon and get it relaxed its not permanent

Straightening hair possible?

i used to have the same problem but then i bought a really good straightener.it's 100% ceramic so it wont damage yer hair.and it wont take as long as a regular straightener it was expensive but it was so worth it. if u dont want to use a har dryer get wet/dry version of this kind of straightener it costs more but there r garunteed results

Straightening hair possible?

If you have naturally curly hair the only way to straighten it is a straightening iron or a very large barrel curling iron (the largest you can find). My sister's and I have found this is only only thing that works with very thick curly hair. All three of us have thick curly hair, and we all use a straightening cream that protects the hair from the heat, and use some type of iron on it.

Straightening hair possible?

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.

Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.

According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,

a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more

negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)

spray your brush with hairspray then continue brushing your hair with it untill it runs soft.

then try curling it.

Curling hair with a straightening iron?

It's almost impossible without ghds. But if your straighteners aren't ghds and are round barrelled, then all you do is grab a piece of hair between the straighteners (try to do this slightly diagonal rather than holding the hair with the straighteners horizontally, twist the straighteners round as far as your wrist can twist and move the straighteners down your hair. It's difficult to do, but there are videos on www.ghd.com!

Curling hair with a straightening iron?

Put your straightning iron at the top of your hair small sections at a time though, then rotate your sraighteners in at the roots all the way down to the tips of your hair.

Curling hair with a straightening iron?

THIS WORKS REALLY GREAT:

Take your straightening iron, check to make sure it if fully cooled down, wrap the cord around it is if you were gonna put it away, then find an old grocery bag, put the iron in the grocery bag, they tie the grocery bag, shake the bag above your head five times, hold it near your left ear and spin in a circle six times counter clockwise, then kiss it 10 times while holding your breath....last but not least (here is where the magic happens).... then toss it in the trash and drive to the store and buy and curling iron. Trust me, its really easy :)

Curling hair with a straightening iron?

i would just buy a curling iron. they're only like 10 bucks and then u can style you hair multiple way as well as doing it straight with ur straightener

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

i have really thick hair and i want to straighten it for tomorow. i don't want to go to the hair salon because i want to try for once to do it myself. what is an effective and good way i can do that?

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

First of all, how would u be straightening it? Do u have a hair straightener. I would recommend u invest in a ghd straightener. They are amazing! I have really thick wavy hair, but the ghd makes it straight, silky and a lot thinner looking. Make sure u use a heat protection spray when using any drying/straightening tools on your hair. I would recemmend mark hill heat protection spray.

Make sure u use a shine enhancing, straightening shampoo and conditioner, designed for thick or wavy hair. Before drying your hair, towel dry gently and spray with heat protection spray. blow dry hair roughly until it is nearly dry. Then, clip hair up and blow dry small parts individually using a round brush and make sure you're using a strong hair dryer (preferably a salon one). If your hair is not as straight as you would like it after this then spray once again lightly with heat protection spray and straighten each part individually. It wont need much straightening at this stage. To finish just spray your hair lighly with a shine enhancing spray and go over it with your hair dryer on the cold setting. This will help it to stay straight for longer.

It sounds like a lot more effort than it really is.. good luck! :)

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

Use a serum first on wet hair, then blow dry.Section off your hair into really small sections and straighten. It takes a while but the results are ace.

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

Use a ceramic iron for your hair.. it works faster

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

use a straightning iron, but if u r willing to pay more and u want it to last for months go to a beauty saloon and get it re-bonded.

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

you can straighten your hair with a straightener its about $50

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

go to the salon so you know it will get done and so you dont burn yourself

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

Yes, it is easy... Get good 2-3 tubes of straightening cream (number of tubes are dependignon the length of the hair) If is up to the shoulder level soft hair 2 enough otherwise more.. If the hair is thick tubes are going to be increased.........

Wet a little %26amp; apply the tubes throughly it should spread everywhere,,,((***sp note, you 've got to do a test before you apply it every where..) keep it for 15-20mins.. then wash it off... dry it %26amp; iron it,.,, that is re-bondign my friend.. enjoy your party......

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

Chi hair straighteners work magic on the curliest of hair. i would get one of those at any hair salon or get a cheap one at wal-mart.

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

blow dry ur hair first using a paddle brush u dont have to get it smooth just a bit straight then if u have ghd's or sumthing use them but use a good serum or shine spary on each section u straighten after straightening use a finishin spary to hold the style. you may have to straighten it today and then go over tomoz before u go out good luck!!

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

use expensive straighteners

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

shampoo and condition first, to add shine to the hair. Dry your hair then add a heat protector or you're hair might snap and break due to the heat. Take small sections, working from nape to crown. SLOWLY and FIRMLY run the straightners through you're hair. Try to keep the straightners moving down the hair or you may end up with a line from the heat, After every section has been straightened, run a fine toothed comb trough the still warm hair. This will help to set it a bit more. Good luck!

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

you should wash and blow dry it if your hair is thick it Will go frizzy so just take really thin sections of your hair and straighten it !!! if you cant do it that way then go to a salon coz u cant do it at all !!! good luck !! have fun at the partyyyyy !!!

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

best way is to use a straightner wash hair stick on some straightening balm and if you have the wet to dry straightners straighten away

I am going to a party tomorow and i want to straighten my hair...how do i do that?

really good straighteners and if you don,t have them go to the salon

Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Try a mixture that my girlfriend does (she's Hispanic,w/long thick, curly black hair)... she takes a couple of eggs (raw of course) and mixes them with a cup of honey. She massages this in, and leaves in, wrapped ina towel for 10-15 minutes, once a week. She has got gorgeous hair!

Another thing you could do is, first get a trim to get rid of the split ends, then use a cholesterol conditioner (found in beauty supply stores, they come in 1 application tubes), once a week. Follow the instructions, or you could wet your hair, apply conditioner, wrap your hair in a towel WITH CONDITIONER IN, leave in for about 5-10 minutes. Heat with your hair dryer ON LOW for a few minutes. After the 5-10 minutes, rewash your hair. This should help, maybe not instantly, but over a short period of time, you'll notice a difference.

Good luck!

Any products that will save my hair from drying out with split ends? (I straighten it)?

use karasilk shampoo and their conditioner..from goldwells (you'll have to buy this from a licensed salon) and apply silk drops after it dries

Any products that will save my hair from drying out with split ends? (I straighten it)?

yes use bio-silk work very vell

Where can i go to get training in japanese hair straightening?

I'm not sure how Japanese hair straightening is different than American hair straightening. I'm American and I just use a Conair straightener/curling iron, and it works great.

Where can i go to get training in japanese hair straightening?

Is the word "japanese" in your question related to the technology of hair straightening? :)

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

Is it actually better to get your hair chemically straightened so you don't have to do it every morning for like 30 minutes for my hair. If so how long does it normally last %26amp; cost?

Or is it better to just keep blow drying and straightening it EVERYDAY. I do that %26amp; have it dyed %26amp; blahh. It's a mess.

I'm really interested in the chemically straight it seems like it'd help.

Thankssss. :)

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

if you can choose...take the time to do the flat iron...you will save so much chemical process on your hair. Chemical straightening is the worst possible thing you can do to your hair. This is going to sound bad...but if you are white and have Caucasian hair...that really is the worst thing you can do to it and can make it thin, crack, burn, split and break off. Ethnic hair can withstand this process better then Caucasian hair does, because the cortex of the hair is much thicker and stronger. A lot of times too...the chemical doesn't take as well as you would like and you still have to use a flat iron in spots.

Don't do it girl...go spend that money on a manicure or facial...or both and flat iron your hair...you will thank yourself for it in the long run.

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

Im not sure about all that, but what I do know is that you have to wait 2 months from the last time you dyed ur hair, before you chemically straighten it.

this one chick at my school bleached her hair %26amp; two weeks later she chemically straightened it, and her hair fell out and she had to get a boy hair cut.

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

do not get a perm just buy a straightener i got a perm around 3 years ago to make my hair straight paid $250 and it did not really make it that straight my hair looked all dry and it began to fall out

it really scared me

just buy a good expensive ceramic straighter try sally's beauty supply store

btw i'm a cosmetologist and this will cause even more damage than getting a spiral perm

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

If you have it chemically staightened, soon as it grows you get the wavey root. Do you have a good straightener, like ceramic ghd's. Your putting lots of chemicals on your hair, cant do it any good

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

well it does do allot of damage to the hair, so i would not reccomend it, but if you really want to get it permanently straight, it would cost anywhere from $50-$500. It lasts untill your hair grows back. Its really the same as a perm, only straight.

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

I'd advise against chemical straightening. Especially if you've already been coloring and straightening your hair everyday. It's a pretty harsh treatment on hair. And if you have very curly hair, it's not going to be bone straight anyways.

What I tell my clients to do is try to wash your hair every other day. This helps the natural oils condition your hair and look healthier. Try to flat iron every other day and do a touch up where needed. Always use a heat protectant like a shine serum or straightening gloss.

Once the hair is straightened it can't be reversed. You continue to get touch ups as the new growth comes. I knew a few people who had the japanese straightening and said they'd never do it again. Their hair took forever to grow out natural and it wasn't the same for a long time.

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

um well my cousin has it permanetly dun it costs a tun

if you are to lazy to do it evry morning

like if you got thic, frizzy, curly, big hair

and you dont want to do it evry morning cuz

it takes to long than get it permanently

straitened okay

but if not why waste so much money on some-thing you dont need

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

If your hair is already blah from coloring it, definitely dont chemically straighten it. You should just flat iron it as little as possible, but if you want to do it every day, you would have to deep condition your hair at least once a week. you can do that by loading dry hair with conditioner, put on a plastic hair wrap, and sit outside in the sun for one hour.

and for the straightener, buy a wet to straight one so you dont have to also blow dry your hair. i use one and im pretty much obsessed.

hope i helped!

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

DO NOT use chemicals on your hair!!!! Or a flat iron. My hair is not naturally "Afro kinky", but it is extremely curly. I've tried the chemicals and the iron; you'll KILL your HAIR!! I dicovered in 1998 in a hair solon in Greenwich Village in NYC that what you want is to "BLOW_DRY your hair STRAIGHT!! Yes! It can be done, but I guess a lot of people don't know about blow-drying hair straight. It takes them about 50 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes to do my hair; and the cost can be anywhere from $25 to $50, depending where you go. Once you've had your hair blown straight, Put a hat on when it rains, and when it's humid out, I twist my hair into a pony tail and roll it up into a bun. That way it will not get frizzy, and it will last about a month. Oh, yeah; contrary to what some people say, unless you work in a very dirty environment, you don't need to wash your hair!! If your hair is long, at least 3 inches above the waist, it takes about 3 weeks for the natural oils to reach your ends. If you wash it even once a week, you'll notice that your hair will "BREAK" very easily, because by washing and drying your hair too frequently your drying-out and "DAMAGING" your hair. So go ask a salon to "BLOW-DRY YOUR HAIR STRAIGHT!!

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

i want to kno the same thing, i spend a crap load of time every day on my hair, it's really long and gots tons of layers. but, i think it's better to just straighten by hand, but you don't have to wash it every day (unless it gets really greesy) cuz it drys out your scalp.

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

I've used chemical straighteners before. They work really well, but dry out your hair. I only did it that way because I was too lazy to flat iron every day, and plus it was short and didn't really show frizz. If you can stand to flat iron it, I would say continue with that.

Permanent straightening or flat ironing?

Chemically straightening your hair doesn't make it perfectly straight so there is still wave and it still needs to be straightened after every shower if you want it to be as straight as it is when you do it by hand. also chemically straightening your hair really really dries out the hair so dyes won't hold as well if you don't majorly moisturize your hair, shampoo and conditioner, and possibly use moisture treatments.

Personally i would recommend that you keep doing it your self because even if you do get it done chemically you are still going to have to take time every morning to get it fully straight.

Straightening hair while it still has a little bit of a curly perm in it? problem? HELP!!!!?

Garnier Fructis has a great product called "Smoothing Milk" it's a light hold/anti frizz product. Mix that with a great wax (Got2B has a good one) in the palm of your hand, smooth through damp hair, blow dry DOWN with the help of either a comb or round brush. When dry, straighten hair in sections of about 1/2 inch, starting from the bottom layers working up. This process takes a little longer than usual, but is so worth it for the shine, swingy-ness, and perfect straighness of your hair.

This is also a great way to tame cowlicks!!!

Good luck, and remember, these may be great products, but ODing on anything is always BAD!!!

My hair is turning into a nightmare and i dont even know wat exactly is wrng wid it pleassse hellppppppp!!!!!!

Try a volume shampoo and conditioner. This will help make your hair fuller. Then curl it and play with it to find new ways to fix your hair so you cant notice the part. I know its only a temporary fix but it may make you feel better. Try looking a Faith Hills hair. Sometimes she pulls it half back and puffs up the top. Its stylish and you could pull off the look im sure.
